Waiting On The World To Change Piano Tutorial

By | November 21, 2009

It seems that most budding musicians are fast becoming more accustomed to learning to play an instrument of their choice via the internet, through guitar videos or just on their own, rather than booking a one-to-one session with an experienced musician. This does not mean that learning from an actual tutor is any less effective, it does mean that more people prefer to learn on their own. Certain instruments do require a personal tutor such as when learning to play the piano, whilst others only need the help of a good internet connection, a computer and some useful videos.

Learning to play the guitar is much easier to do now than ever before. Where people had once invested a lot of money on books and tutors, learners now save much more by buying guitar videos online from music websites. Online guitar videos are the most effective and inexpensive way of learning to play the guitar, with some clips and teasers available on free video platforms such as YouTube. These are normally short; some only a few minutes long and do not cover a whole range of guitar playing techniques.

Guitar videos which are available to buy on websites are usually more in-depth and detailed. The videos can be between 30 minutes to an hour per session, and the learner can buy a complete package for a small fee. The download does not take long, with some websites allowing the user to get a taste of the video before purchasing. The idea is not just to allow learners to save money, but to enable them to use their own initiative in finding good tutorial sources.

In the past those who could not afford a decent tutor may have journeyed through the hard road of listening to their favourite tunes over and again, learning tabs, reading through books and spending long hours practising. Whilst current learners should be doing the same, the information is much more accessible now than they were back when the internet was non-existent, making it better for them to practise as much as they like! The most famous guitarists now would not have become famous guitarists without those long arduous hours of practising, good listening skills and motivation to improve quickly.

The internet has changed the way music sounds as well as change the way people learn to play. These days’ people can practise playing using a guitar backing track, which is created to sound like there is a real band playing, with only one instrument missing, the guitar! The idea is that learners become accustomed to playing along with other musicians, or create an atmosphere as if there was a band playing. This is also effective for drummers and bassists. For an extra bit of added excitement learners can record their progress and show off their talents with family or friends.
